Team Leader- Food and Beverage Retail

Love creating memorable guest experiences and ready to take the next step in leadership? We’re looking for a Team Leader – Food & Beverage Retail to join our Westaways team at Walter Peak. This is a hands-on leadership role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll work alongside the Westaways Coordinator to keep our Food & Beverage and Retail operations running smoothly, support and develop the team, and make sure every guest receives the warm, genuine service RealNZ is known for. What you’ll be doing You’ll be right in the heart of the operation, leading from the front, supporting the team and jumping in wherever you’re needed. Support the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of team members. Help plan daily priorities, delegate tasks and keep the team motivated and informed. Deliver exceptional guest experiences across both our retail and food & beverage spaces. Drive sales, promote RealNZ experiences and look for opportunities to maximise every guest interaction. Keep retail displays looking great and support accurate stock management, stocktakes and inventory processes. Serve food and beverages, take orders, operate payment systems and maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and presentation standards. Work closely with other teams across Walter Peak and our wider Whakatipu operation to keep things running seamlessly. What we’re looking for You’re someone who enjoys being busy, loves working with people and knows how to bring out the best in a team. Ideally, you’ll bring: 1–2+ years’ supervisory experience Retail and sales experience Barista and bar experience Great communication and interpersonal skills Excellent time management and the ability to multitask Strong attention to detail Plenty of initiative, enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in. Knowledge of retail stock processes, including receiving and transferring stock and working with inventory systems, would also be an advantage. Why RealNZ?
