About the Role: We have fixed-term Full Time, PartTimeand Casual opportunities available. As a Lifeguard,you'llplay a vital role in creating a safe,welcomingand enjoyable environment for everyone who visits our aquatic facilities. Every day is different, andyou'llbe at the heart of delivering safe,funand memorable experiences for our community. You'llhave the opportunity to gain a range of nationally recognised qualifications and practical skills, including Advanced First Aid, emergency management, water quality management, chemical handling, and your Pool Lifeguard Practising Certificate (PLPC) if youdon'talready hold one. Our aquatic facilitiesoperatefrom early morning through to late evening, seven days a week, sowe'relooking for committed and flexible team members who are ready to make a positive impact duringour summerseason. Your responsibilities will include: Actively supervising pool users andmaintaininga safe environment. Providing friendly,professionaland exceptional customer service. Proactivelyidentifyingand responding to potential safety risks. Supporting the cleanliness and presentation of the facility. Working collaboratively with your team to deliver safe and efficient daily operations. Responding calmly and effectively in emergency situations. This role is about more than just watching a pool.It'sabout creating positive experiences, building connections with our community, and helping every customer feel welcome and safe. About You: To be successful in this role,you'llbe someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering a high standard of service. Desirable Qualifications A Current Pool Lifeguard Skills Award (PLSAand PLPC). A valid First Aid Certificate National Certificate in Recreation & Sport (Aquatics) Technical Skills/Competencies Swim 200 metres free-style continuously and in less than 6 minutes. Can complete a variety of water rescues and life-saving techniques correctly. A proven ability to actively supervise customers forlong periods, preferably in aquatics environment. Familiar with pool plant and water quality maintenance. Experience in Lifeguarding and knowledge of aquatic facility activities. Personal Attributes Friendly,approachableand welcoming. Exceptional customer service focus. Able to remain attentive and focused for extended periods. Strong communicationand interpersonal skills. Mature and professional in your approach. Open to feedback,coachingand ongoing development. A proactive problem solver who takes initiative. Calm, confident and able to make sound decisions under pressure. Reliable,trustworthyand accountable. Positive team player who contributes to a supportive workplace culture. High standard of personal presentation. Passionate about creating a safe and enjoyable experience for customers. Previouslifeguarding experience is desirable but not essential.We'relooking for people with the right attitude, strong customer service skills, and a willingness to learn. Full training will be provided, and applicants must be available to attend three full days of training and hold, or be willing to obtain, a current First Aid Certificate.
