Operate and maintain critical headworks structures to ensure they remain safe and reliable Support the smooth operation of water supply systems through clear communication and operational support Help maintain the hydrological network so it meets performance standards and supports informed decision-making Work outdoors in and around dams and water environments Contribute to Auckland's water supply and support essential water services Requirements A relevant technical qualification or equivalent practical experience A current full New Zealand driver's licence Experience working in a similar environment, with a strong focus on safety around water Confidence using computer-based systems and databases Strong problem-solving ability Comfortable working independently and contributing to a close-knit team Reliable, practical, and motivated to deliver high-quality work A tertiary qualification in Engineering or Science is helpful but not essential Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in operating and maintaining critical headworks structures and water supply systems, ensuring safety and reliability.
