Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. Provide assistance to site staff by interpreting and carrying out directions for planning and construction site organising. Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice to direct progress of the work, making sure that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used. Interpret plans, supervising and directing people working on the project. Assist with costs and payments and negotiation with clients and subcontractors. Record construction progress and variations from the design drawings or specifications. Project quality assurance documentation and project reports. Communicating with subcontractors regarding project and contract requirements. What we Require Ability to work under pressure with a positive approach to change. Organisational and time management skills with the ability to apply initiative to problem solving. Excellent attention to detail and business awareness. Hold an NZCE, diploma or degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar. Experience working as a site engineer on civil construction projects.
