The salary band for this role is between$66,222($33.51 per hour) - $94,842 ($48 per hour) depending on experience. You will meet with whānau across(both home visits andin clinics) and foster trusting relationships to adopt a holisticapproachand culturallyappropriate care.Working alongside ahighly motivated and experienced team you'll be committed to deliveringengaging care where whānau have a safe space to share parenting challenges andcelebrate successes. Working in the community in a cost-of-living crisis meansyou will meet whānau who are facing significant challenges. Our clinicalresponsibilities co-exist with the need to deliver social support to ensurepēpi are being raised in safe and healthy homes.We offer 6 weekorientation with ongoing preceptor support to help you find your feet. Community Nursing requires a particular set of skills, youmay start the day with 5 whānau booked in for visits, one might need to cancel,another might be late, and the last appointment might present significantconcerns and take longer than anticipated. So, you will need toberesourceful, resilient and comfortable making decisions to ensure wemaintain a high-quality experience and minimise risks for our clients. We are confident we can give you great support with ourexperienced team - so we are open to both new graduates and experiencednurses. It is vital that you enjoy working with pēpi, however themajority of your interactions will be with caregivers. In order to deliver theright support, you'll need to have exceptional active listening skills, be ableto ask questions tactfully. Working with whānau from all walks of life willrequire you to build trust and communicate effectively with differentpeople. With a stable team and experienced leader, we're well placedto support you if this is your first nursing role, but equally, if you are anexperienced nurse, your insight and expertise will go a long way to supportingwhānau to thrive and our team to grow collectively.
