Team members join a company that values pride in workmanship and long-term customer relationships. Role Description The Fitter Welder role is a full-time, on-site position based in Christchurch. Day-to-day responsibilities include fabricating, fitting, and welding components for heavy transport trailers and equipment to specified drawings and standards. The role involves reading and interpreting technical plans, performing quality checks on completed work, and using appropriate tools and machinery safely. The Fitter Welder will also assist with repairs, maintenance, and modifications of existing equipment, while working collaboratively with other team members to meet production deadlines. Maintaining a safe and tidy workspace and following all health and safety procedures is an essential part of this role. Qualifications Minimum of five years’ experience as fitter welder fabricating equipment for the heavy transport setting. Trade qualifications would be preferred. Current welding tickets in various positions including flat, vertical up & overhead position Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with welding and fitting. Heavy welding (essential) Class 1 clean driver licence. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Communication:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
