Curate exhibitions that connect art, ideas and communities Lead digital storytelling across two much-loved museums Enjoy wellbeing & birthday leave and excellent wellbeing benefits About The Role We’re looking for a creative and collaborative Curator to help develop exhibitions, events and collections across The Dowse Art Museum and Petone Settlers Museum. Working with the Senior Curator and wider Arts & Culture team, you’ll: Research, develop and deliver engaging exhibitions and events Lead digital content that brings our collections, exhibitions and ideas to life Contribute to collection development, including acquisitions and donations Build strong relationships with artists, lenders, donors and community partners Represent Hutt City Arts & Culture through writing, public speaking and professional networks About You You’ll bring: A relevant tertiary qualification Experience developing exhibitions and events Excellent research, writing and communication skills Knowledge of an area relevant to our museums Strong digital storytelling and relationship‑building skills A creative, collaborative and audience-focused approach Experience in a museum, gallery or related cultural setting would be an advantage.
