About the Role About the RoleAs an Enrolled Nurse in the eye clinic, you'll assist inundertaking ophthalmic assessment on a wide range of patients, with varyingophthalmic conditions, both acute and chronic. You will help manage acutelyunwell patients that present from the community and the ward. You will performa variety of different scans and technical assessments on patients and assistnurses and doctors with sterile procedures and assessments.We offer a great team environment and are supportive ofprofessional development. About the Service About the ServiceThe Eye Clinic is a very busy and demanding service that isstaffed by a dedicated team of Healthcare Assistants, Nurses, Orthoptists,Optometrists and Technicians who work closely with our highly skilled andspecialised Ophthalmologists to meet the eye health needs of the people ofCanterbury. About You Registered as an Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing Council of New Zealand Current Annual Practising Certificate Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships with a strong patient focus. Ability to work under pressure Excellent time management and attention to detail Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
