Aviation Security Officer

We're looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals to become Aviation Security Officers. In this critical frontline role, you'll help protect our aviation system, ensuring passengers, crew, and airport environments remain secure. This role includes a paid, full-time 12-week training programme that combines classroom learning with hands-on experience. Training is held in Auckland, so you'll need to be available to attend regularly. THE ROLE Screening passengers, baggage, and cargo Conducting patrols and hazard inspections on airfields and in terminals Monitoring access to restricted areas Responding to incidents or requests for assistance Liaising with other airport stakeholders and agencies Ensuring all actions comply with aviation security legislation and standards WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment Ability to communicate respectfully and de-escalate challenging situations Good situational awareness and attention to detail Excellent time management, flexibility, and adaptability A positive, team-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism ROLE REQUIREMENTS Be a New Zealand or Australian citizen, or hold New Zealand permanent residency Hold a full, clean New Zealand driver's licence Be comfortable working in a busy, noisy, and fast-changing environment Be flexible and able to switch duties at short notice, depending on operational needs Be willing and able to work a fixed shift roster (including nights, weekends, and public holidays) Be medically fit and willing to undergo a health assessment #J-18808-Ljbffr
