The Role Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Commercial and Strategy Business Partner works alongside the CEO and Executive Leadership Team to translate strategy into actionable, well-run projects. You will work with key leaders to translate priorities into plans, business cases, and delivered outcomes across the organisation. The remit is deliberately broad. In any given quarter, you might be building the business case for an enterprise initiative, leading a review of the organisation’s pricing approach, coordinating a cross-functional project team, or preparing the material that shapes an executive or Board decision. There are no direct reports in this role. Your influence comes from the quality of your thinking and your ability to bring people with you. This role has been designed with a career pathway in mind. It exists to give a high performer an enterprise-wide view of how a complex business actually works, and to build the commercial and leadership foundation for future roles. Key Responsibilities Support the development, review, and execution of organisational strategy Lead and coordinate strategic projects sponsored by the CEO and executive team Build business cases, strategic recommendations, and executive decision material Conduct research, data analysis, and market assessment to identify opportunities and risks Lead a strategic review of the organisation’s pricing approach Track progress against strategic priorities, milestones, risks, and benefits realisation Prepare briefing papers, presentations, and reporting for executive and Board forums Coordinate cross-functional teams and support change and continuous improvement activity Key Skills & Experience Required Tertiary qualified in business, commerce, economics, science, or a related discipline Ideally management consulting background, or project or programme management experience in a large, complex organisation Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect analysis to commercial outcomes Proven ability to run cross-functional projects to time, scope, and benefit Data-driven and analytical, comfortable building the numbers behind a recommendation Confident engaging, influencing, and holding senior stakeholders to account Change management, transformation, or pricing experience is an advantage Resilient, curious, and comfortable operating in ambiguity About You You connect the dots. You can sit in a room with an executive team, understand what they are actually trying to achieve, and translate it into something the business can execute. You are commercially savvy and analytically strong, but your real strength is people. You build relationships quickly, you influence without authority, and you bring teams together across functions to get things done. You are resilient, and you want to learn.
