The team is collaborative, technology-forward, and focused on developing its people — this is an opportunity to step into a Senior Accountant role with real scope to grow into an Assistant Manager position over time. The Role This is a Senior Accountant position for someone who's ready to take ownership of a client portfolio, mentor junior staff, and start moving beyond pure compliance into advisory conversations. You'll work closely with Managers and Partners on more complex engagements, while also playing a key role in improving workflow and turnaround times across the team. What Makes You "Just Right" Strong grounding in compliance (financial statements and tax) 4+ years' experience in a Chartered Accounting or Business Advisory environment CA qualified (or equivalent) Ability to manage multiple client deadlines and prioritise effectively Confidence reviewing work and supporting junior team members Comfortable engaging with clients and contributing to discussions beyond compliance Interest in technology and tools (including AI) to improve efficiency A mindset focused on growth, ownership, and continuous improvement What Your Day Might Look Like Manage a client portfolio, including delegation and review of junior work Deliver compliance work efficiently and accurately (financial statements, tax returns, GST) Communicate directly with clients and build trusted relationships Contribute to advisory conversations, supporting business improvement and growth Work alongside Managers and Partners on more complex engagements Support team workflow, helping improve turnaround times and delivery standards Coach and develop junior team members What Success Looks Like Owning your client portfolio and building strong client relationships Delivering high-quality work efficiently and consistently Confidence in client communication and advisory conversations Supporting and developing junior team members Contributing to improved workflow, team capability, and turnaround times What's on Offer Competitive salary, reflective of experience Clear progression pathway toward Assistant Manager / Manager Genuine investment in your technical and advisory development A collaborative, modern practice environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
