Internal Account Manager - Security Solutions

About the Role

As an Internal Account Manager, you will play a key role in supporting and growing an assigned portfolio of customers within the communications and security solutions industry. Combining account management, sales support, and business development, you will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to deliver outstanding service, identify growth opportunities, and drive sales performance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term customer partnerships while contributing to the success of a high-performing sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Manage and grow an assigned portfolio of customer accounts, delivering exceptional service and support.
  • Sales & Business Development: Achieve sales and gross profit targets, identify growth opportunities, and drive revenue within existing customer accounts.
  • Customer Support & Engagement: Provide timely assistance to customers and External Account Managers while keeping customers informed of new products, promotions, project updates, quotations, and training opportunities.
  • CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate CRM records, quotations, sales activities, and pipeline updates.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with customers, vendors, and internal teams to coordinate product demonstrations, training, and solution support.
  • Order & Channel Management: Process customer orders and enquiries while developing and maintaining reseller channel relationships.
  • Market & Product Support: Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer insights, and assist with product lifecycle management, including discontinued product clearance.
  • Training & Industry Engagement: Participate in product training and attend customer events, trade shows, and industry expos, following up on opportunities generated.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties reasonably required to support business operations.

About You

  • Strong phone presence with the ability to build relationships and sell.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service, internal sales, or account management environment.
  • Technical aptitude with a willingness to learn products, system design, and customer solutions
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and eager to succeed in sales through exceptional customer service and relationship management. Full product training and mentorship will be provided; however, experience or knowledge within electronic security, networking, communications, data, or related technology industries will be highly regarded.
