Senior Security Engineer Auckland | Full-time This is an exciting opportunity for a senior cybersecurity professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex security challenges, and is passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for customers. As a Senior Security Engineer , you'll be at the forefront of security operations, leading incident response, investigating threats, deploying cutting-edge security technologies, and helping customers strengthen their cyber resilience. You'll also mentor team members, influence best practice, and contribute to the continued growth of our Cyber Security capability. What you'll be doing Monitoring and investigating security alerts across customer and internal environments Leading incident response activities and driving effective threat containment and remediation Acting as a trusted advisor to customers during security events and operational reviews Deploying, configuring, and optimising leading security technologies Onboarding customers to managed security services Supporting audits, governance activities, and security improvement initiatives Providing technical expertise for customer engagements, proposals, and pre-sales opportunities Mentoring and developing junior team members What we’re looking for 5+ years' experience in Cyber Security or a related field Strong expertise across the Microsoft Security ecosystem, particularly Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms, threat detection, and incident response Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset Experience with KQL, PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting technologies Relevant Microsoft Security certifications highly regarded Experience with technologies such as Netskope, Mimecast, Qualys, or Tenable would be advantageous.
