As apart of your first year of practice, you may have the opportunity to work in thematernity unit and with our community midwifery team too! As a part ofyour first year, you will also get to experience specialist clinics and otheropportunities depending on what you would like to focus on. This means youcould get to experience all areas of midwifery to find out what you love themost. We willsupport you with accommodation and travel to work and experience all theseopportunities as a unique part of our Midwifery First Year of Practiceprogramme. About you You will have loads of passion and a commitment towomen centred and culturally respectful care. As a recent or newgraduate , who meets the Midwifery Council and NZCOM enrolment requirementsfor the Midwifery First year of Practice programme (MFYP), we will assist yourtransition to practice through a comprehensive New Graduate Midwifery programmewhich includes: a full orientation, access to midwifery educator and clinicalcoach support, and a range of clinical experiences across a variety ofmidwifery settings to help prepare you to become a confident midwiferypractitioner. As a midwife you will be able to use all yourclinical and organisational skills and expertise across pregnancy, birthing andpostnatal care. Shiftwill be rostered across AM, PM and Nights working8-hour shifts.
