About The Role We are seeking a Move In Specialist to join our team in Auckland on a 12-month fixed-term basis. This role is essential in supporting residents and their families during a significant life transition from contract to move-in. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that residents feel informed, reassured, and confident throughout the entire process. As the central point of contact for residents, families, and village teams, you will help mitigate uncertainty, manage expectations, and proactively address any issues that may arise. This position is heavily relationship-driven and requires empathy, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate various perspectives and priorities. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the retirement village sector, as well as those from healthcare admissions, banking onboarding, real estate, or hospitality backgrounds, who can apply their skill sets in a resident-focused environment. Given that this role involves visiting multiple Auckland villages and engaging with prospective residents in their homes, professionalism and strong relationship management skills are crucial. A company vehicle will be provided to facilitate travel across the region. Success in this role will hinge on your ability to build trust quickly, manage sensitive conversations adeptly, and influence outcomes with various stakeholders. While organizational skills and adherence to processes are important, they serve as tools to ensure a seamless and positive experience for our residents. Key Responsibilities Build trusted relationships and guide residents through the move-in journey. Lead the delivery of a high-quality move-in experience, ensuring that residents and their families feel welcomed, supported, and confident from the moment they arrive until they are fully settled. Serve as the central point of connection across stakeholders. Collaborate closely with residents, families, Sales Advisors, and village teams to align expectations, manage differing priorities, and ensure a smooth transition. Proactively identify and resolve risks that may impact move-in outcomes. Anticipate and address potential issues early, particularly those affecting resident confidence, timelines, or settlement, and take ownership of driving resolutions.Balance the resident experience with commercial and operational outcomes, maintaining awareness of timelines and business priorities to ensure timely move-ins. Set and uphold high communication standards, ensuring that all interactions with residents and families are clear, professional, and empathetic, especially during sensitive moments. Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers to enhance the resident experience, ensuring quality, consistency, and value. Requirements Proven experience in a customer-facing coordination, operations, or service delivery role. Strong preference for experience within the retirement village industry, along with a solid understanding of the resident journey and onboarding processes. Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Clear and confident communication style, capable of building trust with a wide range of stakeholders. Professional, friendly, and polished demeanor, representing the business effectively across multiple villages. Commercially minded, balancing customer experience with operational outcomes. Task-oriented and driven, with a strong focus on delivery and meeting deadlines. Energetic and proactive, bringing momentum and ownership to the role.
