About The Role Amisfield is currently interviewing for the position of Front of House Server/Host. We are after an individual that bring professionalism to their job, and is enthusiastic, mindful and passionate about the place they work and the job they choose to work in. As the first face of the Amisfield brand, the Host is required to engage with our guests and assist them to either the cellar door or restaurant and as the Server you will be providing our customers with an unrivalled dining experience. Create an impression of warmth and hospitality from the first moment the guest first arrives and ascertain if they are joining us for tasting, dinner or lunch, or a combination of these. Ensure if they are dining in the restaurant that they have a reservation or have a restaurant staff member check availability for them whilst they are doing a tasting and ensure minimal time is spent by guests standing in the reception area. Communicate effectively with the service manager, kitchen and waitstaff to ensure seamless service. Providing menus and wine lists and answering any questions knowledgeably. Service of food and drinks and cleaning, setting and preparing tables. Ensure all dish and ingredients along with wines are known and memorised as per tasting notes. Handle guest inquiries, requests, feedback or complaints with professionalism and a customer‑centric approach. Interacting with our customers and educating them about the company, our wine and our wine club. Handle any difficult situations with professionalism, respect and authenticity and inform the Manager as appropriate while ensuring the customer experience matches our ambition. Champion of booking and POS systems, being able to troubleshoot when needed and manage accurate cash ups. About You A minimum of 12 months experience in a quality restaurant or premium hospitality environment is essential. Experience in fine dining, luxury hospitality or an award‑winning restaurant is highly desirable. Candidates should have demonstrated experience delivering polished table service and be confident communicating food and beverage information to guests. The successful candidate will have an understanding of all front of house roles and will be able to help out wherever needed. Experience with functions is an added benefit to the job as there may be an inclusion of assisting with a limited number of functions and other events. A great team‑player approach with strong food, beverage and wine knowledge and the passion and hunger to learn and develop further. Friendly and professional with a high level of presentation. Can demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and interact with a high volume of customers maintaining exceptional service standards in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to deliver polished table service. Selling skills, cash handling, food safety knowledge would all be highly regarded. Ability to communicate menu and wine information confidently to guests. Fine‑dining, luxury hospitality or experience in an award‑winning venue is highly desirable. When you join our team, you will be rewarded with a beautiful place to work and competitive pay.
