About the role The Financial Crime Intelligence Analyst supports TSB's AML/CFT, transaction monitoring and fraud capabilities through Intelligence activities, strategic enhancements and data-driven analysis using subject matter expertise. The role helps optimise transaction monitoring strategies, rule tuning, model validation and continuous improvement to enhance financial crime controls. Who are you? To be successful in this role, you will bring strong Intelligence, analytical and research skills, with experience interpreting complex data to identify trends, risks and emerging issues, and translating insights into practical business recommendations. You will have strong stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills, enabling you to work effectively with Financial Crime, Fraud, Risk, Compliance, Data & AI, and Technology teams to enhance monitoring effectiveness and maintain alignment with regulatory expectations. You will also demonstrate the ability to use data and intelligence to identify, monitor and report on emerging threats, control gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement. In this role, you can expect to: Complete intelligence products, including tactical alerts, thematic reports and strategic briefs for TSB's senior Leadership and operational teams. Prepare high-quality reports, briefing papers and governance material that translate analysis, KPIs and risk indicators into clear, actionable recommendations. Challenge and peer review analytical methodologies, assumptions and outputs, working collaboratively with analytics specialists. We are looking for candidates who have: Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Criminology, Law, Finance, Intelligence, Risk Management or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Experience in AML/CFT, transaction monitoring, fraud, financial crime intelligence or risk management. Strong understanding of financial crime risks, AML/CFT obligations, transaction monitoring and fraud typologies. What's in it for me?
