We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Fixed Term Cleaning & Hospitality Assistant, across our Junior and Senior Campus starting 28 September 2026 and ending on 28 March 2027.


Located on the beautiful Hibiscus Coast of Auckland, KingsWay is a high achieving, growing, state integrated Christian school catering for Year 1-13 students, with a current roll of over 2000 students. About the Role


As a Cleaning & Hospitality Assistant, you will play an important role in maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming environments for our students, staff, and wider community. Working across both the Senior and Junior Campuses, you will combine general cleaning responsibilities with practical support for our Hospitality programmes, helping to ensure teaching kitchens and school facilities are well-presented, organised, and ready for use.


Key responsibilities of the role include:


  • Daily cleaning of classrooms, offices, staff areas, and shared facilities.
  • Assisting with deep cleaning programmes during school holiday periods.
  • Supporting the organisation and maintenance of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Assisting with the preparation, set-up, pack-down, and cleaning of Hospitality kitchens for practical lessons.
  • Supporting Hospitality teachers during practical lessons by assisting students to locate equipment, ingredients, and resources.
  • Maintaining a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all members of the school community.


The successful applicant will:


  • Have previous cleaning experience or a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Be reliable, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Have a positive attitude and enjoy being part of a team.
  • Be committed to health, safety, and confidentiality requirements, including food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Be willing to support our special character.
