About the Role\n

The team leader provides day to day leadership, operational management and planning for the team in order to deliver a sustainable, high quality service that contributes to the achievement of organisational goals.

\n

The role operates within a specialist child health setting and supports services for infants, children, young people and their whānau with a range of developmental, behavioural and disability-related needs.

\n

The position works across multidisciplinary and interagency environments, requiring the ability to build effective relationships and contribute to coordinated care across health, education and social service sectors.

\n

Works in other areas as identified or following a reasonable request in order to support the organisation in managing safe patient care and maintaining service delivery.

About the Team/Service Location\n

Located at Hutt Hospital in Lower Hutt, the Child Development Service is a specialist multidisciplinary team supporting tamariki and whānau across the Hutt Valley. The service provides assessment, intervention and care coordination for children and young people with developmental delays, disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.

  • A relevant health professional qualification and current practising certificate
  • \n
  • At least 6 years practice working in a health or other relevant setting.
  • \n
  • A high standard of written and oral communication
  • \n
  • Proven ability to create effective working relationships
  • \n
  • Experience and understanding of principals of continuous quality improvement
  • \n
