About the role\n

Based at Auckland Women's Regional Corrections Facility and reporting to the General Manager, this position is critical to the success of our senior leadership team providing high quality, efficient support in a very busy operational environment!

\n

We are looking for an experienced candidate who has a mature approach to work and life, is a good problem solver and can handle whatever comes their way. No day is ever the same. With a keen eye for detail, you will be instrumental in supporting our General Manager and the wider leadership team, acting as a key point of contact for internal and external customers, juggling a multiple of priorities and continuously seeking out ways of streamlining tasks.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and manage sensitive information

  • Strong experience and knowledge of office administrative processes, systems and technology

  • Competence in the use of all Microsoft Office 365 applications and work practices
  • \n
  • Proficient with computer systems, applications and digital tools, along with the ability to learn and implement new systems quickly
  • \n
  • Ability to provide support to team members seeking assistance with basic IT needs
  • \n
  • Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanour
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a team environment
  • \n
  • The ability to organise effectively, be adaptable, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • \n
  • The ability to develop, foster and maintain positive working relationships with a diverse range of people

Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen, New Zealand Resident Permit holder, Australian citizen or an Australian resident who holds a current Australian Resident Return Visa.

Skills and experience\n

Possessing exceptional communication and proven organisational skills, your duties and responsibilities will be varied including:

  • Co-ordination and organisation of meetings and events on behalf of the Hawkes Bay team.
  • \n
  • Diary management and inbox oversight for the General Manager and the wider leadership team.
  • \n
  • Preparing meeting agendas and minute taking.
  • \n
  • Reporting, presentations and management of general correspondence.
  • \n
  • Maintaining and updating records, systems and files.
  • \n
  • Travel and expenses coordination.
  • \n
  • Undertake special projects, tracking deadlines and ensuring timely completion.
  • \n
  • Developing office systems and processes to ensure efficiencies and to meet legal obligations.
  • \n

You will be proactive in nature, quick to identify, address and resolve the needs of your customers. You will demonstrate competency in the MS suite of applications, be meticulous in the recording and maintaining of information, delivering a high level of service to our team.

The benefits\n

The starting salary for this role is $67,104. There are 3 salary steps for this role, appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
