Comvita is seeking anApprentice Beekeeperto join our Kihikihi Apiary team. This is an exciting opportunity to earn while you learn through our supported apprenticeship programme and gain a nationally recognised qualification in apiculture.
The Opportunity
As an Apprentice Beekeeper,you'lldevelop the skills to:
- Maintain and manage productive beehives
- Harvest honey and other bee products
- Support hive transportation and placement
- Understand bee biology and behaviour
- Identifyand manage bee diseases and pests
- Work safely and effectively in commercial beekeeping operations
You'llwork alongside experienced beekeepers who will support your development while helping you complete the New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3).All credits earned are recognised by NZQA.
*You must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, then if successful ongoing random testing*
What You'll Bring

- Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver License
