Comvita is looking for an Apprentice Beekeeperto join our Whanganui Apiary team. This is more than just a job.It'sa hands-on career pathway whereyou'llgain real-world experience while completing the New Zealand Certificate in Apiculture (Level 3)- which is NZQA approved credits -through our supported apprenticeship programme.

What You'll Be Doing

Working alongside experienced beekeepers,you'lllearn all aspects of commercial beekeeping, including:

• Hive management and bee health

• Honey production and harvesting

• Pest and disease management

• Transporting andestablishinghives

• Working safely in diverse outdoor environments

• Building positive relationships with landowners and stakeholders

You'llplayan important rolein helping maintain healthy hives and supporting the production of premium New Zealand honey.

*You must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, then if successful ongoing random testing*

What We're Looking For

Youdon'tneedpreviousbeekeeping experience.Instead, we are looking for people who:

• Love working outdoors

• Are physically fit and comfortable with manual work

• Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn

• Work well as part of a team

• Hold a full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence

• Are willing to travel occasionally and work flexible hours during peak seasons

• Have no known allergy to bee stings or pollen
