This is a permanent part-time position offering 16 hours per week . Working in a busy healthcare environment, you'll play an important role in supporting patient meal services and ensuring high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer care. Support patient meal services with a focus on excellent customer care. Maintain clean and hygienic kitchen, dining, and food service areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and catering equipment. Assist with tray line operations and meal assembly. Deliver meals to patients in a friendly and professional manner. Assist with basic food preparation tasks. Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times. Work collaboratively with the wider catering team to ensure smooth daily operations. You will be a dependable team player with a positive attitude and a genuine commitment to providing excellent service. To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have: Previous kitchen, food preparation, hospitality, or cleaning experience. A Food Safety Certificate (Unit Standard 167) or willingness to obtain one. Strong customer service and communication skills. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A friendly, approachable personality and "can-do" attitude. A commitment to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
