About the role ICAFS is seeking a registered mental health nurse tojoin our Infant, child, adolescent and family specialty Team. This position iswithin our assessment team and will involve undertaking initial assessments toestablish care needs and assess for service entry, crisis assessment, consultliaison, working with external agencies to improve and support care delivery toyoung people, family work, group work, education delivery and specificinterventions specific to your skill area. About theTeam/Service/ Location ICAFS is a community-based team that providespecialist assessment and treatment for 0 - 18 year olds and their families/ whanau.We offer a range of therapeutic approaches as well as having two specialisttreatment teams, family therapy (with a screening team) and DialecticalBehaviour Therapy (DBT). We have a large team of passionate clinicians,including social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, andpsychotherapists that you would be working closely alongside. We haveclinicians with a range of experience and are known to provide excellentsupport to trainees, interns and new graduates who are frequently workingwithin our service. About you The successful applicant will be able to work collaboratively andsupportively with other team members to ensure provision of appropriate assessmentand treatment. The person suitable for this role will also have excellentclinical and case management skills and be comfortable with mental healthassessment. The ability to establish andmaintain excellent working relationships within the team, service, the DHB, thewider mental health services, and community agencies is integral to this role. Skills Ability to provide high qualitymental health assessments and therapeutic interventions Experience in risk identification and management Experiencein working with trauma, neurodiversity, challenging family systems Strong communication skills and the ability to workcollaboratively with internal and external providers Team coaching skills and information delivery skill Previousexperience in child and adolescent mental health Hold New Zealand registration and/orcurrent practicing certificate Have the ability to work autonomouslyand also as an integral part of a dedicated, innovative and friendlymulti-disciplinary team knowledge of the CAPA system would bean advantage Working at HealthNew Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is'the weaving of wellness'.
