The Advisor is an essential link to a wide range of practical and professional support services, internally and externally. The Advisor Wellbeing is the subject matter expert on all well-being-related activities within the region. They work to ensure the provision of psychological wellbeing services for all personnel to build and maintain a resilient workforce. Ko tāu nā i tēnei tūranga - What you’ll bring to the role: You will contribute to the sustainability and development of wellbeing initiatives and programmes in conjunction with the wider Safety, Health, and Wellbeing directorate and People Leaders. You will travel regularly and have flexible working hours to allow you to visit fire stations, communication centres and office locations to foster relationships and enhance your presence and support. This isn't a Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm role, it's about being where you're needed most, when you're needed most. This is a 12 month fixed term through to August 2027. To be successful in this role, we'd expect you will: Have sound knowledge and experience of the New Zealand mental health care system and commonly used wellbeing frameworks Have an understanding of Māori hauora models and their application to wellbeing e.g. Te Whare Tapa Wha Be an active listener, good communicator and comfortable with group facilitation Experience supporting the wellbeing needs of people involved in complaints processes Ability to travel throughout New Zealand as required. The salary range for this role is $99,326 to $ 110,362 (pro rata), dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role. Ko wai mātou - who are we?
