About the Programme The Waikato Midwifery Graduate Programme has been thoughtfully designed to support your transition from student to registered midwife. Working 0.8 FTE, you'll have dedicated time to participate in the Midwifery First Year of Practice (MFYP) programme while gaining valuable clinical experience within our maternity service. From your very first shift, you'll be supported by experienced preceptors, clinical coaches and midwifery educators who are passionate about helping new graduates succeed. Our programme provides a safe and supportive environment where asking questions, developing confidence and growing your clinical skills are encouraged every day. At the completion of your graduate year, you'll continue as a permanent member of our midwifery team. Why Choose Waikato?
