Te Haeata / The Opportunity We are seeking a savvy and knowledgeable Senior Advisor to join our Ministerial Services team - part of the wider Communications team within the Corporate Services Group at the Ministry of Justice. Reporting to the Manager, Ministerial Services, you’ll be a key player in managing responses to complex and sensitive requests under the Official Information Act, Privacy Act, and other statutory frameworks. You’ll ensure high-quality responses are delivered on time and provide regular insights on the trends and issues the team is managing. You will have sound knowledge of relevant legislation and machinery of government. You will be passionate about enhancing correspondence capability within the team and across the Ministry. You will be highly collaborative, with the ability to build strong relationships and establish credibility at all levels of the organisation. A proactive approach, strong service focus, and the ability to take ownership and see tasks through to delivery are essential for success in this position. In this role, you will peer review high-quality ministerial and official correspondence coach and provide technical support to the Advisors write responses to more complex and sensitive correspondence requests champion best practice processes and continuous improvement develop and manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including Ministers officers Ō pūkenga / Skills and Experience We want someone with an eye for detail and an aptitude for political nuance, who can identify issues before they arise, and is passionate about continuous improvement.
