Job Title: Gardener Overview The role will be offered as a Permanent Contract. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Gardener to join our diverse team. Our ideal candidate is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and enhancing our garden, orchard, and olive grove. Responsibilities Garden Care and Maintenance Perform general gardening tasks including planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and weeding. Ensure all garden areas are maintained to a high standard, promoting healthy growth and aesthetics. Monitor plant health and implement integrated pest management practices. Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency. Collaborate with the team to design and implement garden plans. Proactively identify plant diseases, insect pests and weed issues. Safety handle, mix, and apply chemical sprays. Orchard and Olive Grove Management Assist in the management of our orchard and olive grove, focusing on sustainable agricultural practices. Conduct pruning, harvesting, and other seasonal tasks in the orchard and olive grove. Monitor trees for signs of disease or stress and take corrective actions as necessary including spraying. Contribute innovative ideas for enhancing production and sustainability. -Participate in the seasonal picking and processing operations for fruit and olives. Lawn and Estate Upkeep Maintain estate lawns and pathways, ensuring they are tidy, safe, and welcoming for all guests. Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the estate's infrastructure, including fences and irrigation systems. Assist in planning and executing landscaping projects to enhance the estate's appeal and improve its ecological value. Qualifications Proven experience in gardening, orchard, or agriculture maintenance. Familiarity with gardening and landscaping equipment. Knowledge of plant care, pest management, and sustainable gardening practices. Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
