Early Childhood Teacher - Unqualified

Cozy Education Limited are seeking a permanent early childhood teacher (unregistered) to join our team located in Panmure, Auckland. You will be working alongside a high ratio of registered early childhood teachers to deliver an inclusive and supportive environment for children to grow using the Pikler and RIE inspired approach to learning. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours work per week. The successful applicant must be available Monday - Friday. Remuneration ranges from $28 - $30 per hour depending on skills and experience. The successful applicant must have at least two years of relevant work experience. The key role duties include: Plan, prepare and implement structured and play-based learning experiences across indoor and outdoor environments, using materials and equipment to support children’s development. Provide age-appropriate activities that encourage motor skills, social interaction, cooperation, confidence, independence and understanding. Support language and communication development through storytelling, role play, songs, rhymes, group activities and discussions. Observe and assess children’s learning, behaviour and developmental progress, maintaining records and identifying areas requiring support. Observe children for signs of illness, emotional difficulties, developmental concerns or other factors affecting wellbeing or participation in learning. Monitor and support children’s nutritional, health, welfare and safety needs and identify circumstances or barriers affecting development or educational progress. Maintain a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment supporting children’s wellbeing and individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents and whānau regarding their child’s learning, progress, wellbeing and areas requiring support. Participate in parent-teacher interviews, staff meetings, planning, professional development and meetings. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to support learning and developmental outcomes. Participate in community, family and child-support programmes. Supervise, support and guide student teachers completing practical placements. Comply with centre policies and procedures and applicable early childhood education, health, safety and child-protection requirements.
