Key responsibilities include: Plan and implement play-based and structured learning experiences across indoor, outdoor and excursions. Provide age-appropriate provocations and experiences that support children’s physical, social, emotional, language and cognitive development, confidence and independence. Support language and communication through storytelling, role play, songs,group activities and conversations. Observe, assess and document children’s learning, behaviour and development, identifying areas where additional support may be required. Monitor children’s health, wellbeing, nutrition and safety, including signs of illness or developmental and emotional concerns. Maintain a safe, positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment that responds to individual needs. Communicate regularly with parents and whānau about children’s learning, development, wellbeing and support needs. Participate in parent-teacher interviews, staff and planning meetings, professional development and centre events. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to support positive outcomes for children. Support student teachers during practical placements and participate in relevant community programmes. Follow centre policies and procedures and all applicable ECE, health, safety and child-protection requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
