He Taonga NgŁ Tamariki is a new and innovative 12-month wraparound pathway supporting măă experiencing harm from substance use while parenting tamariki aged 0-5 years. Through a combination of relationship-based support, substance-harm reduction, tamariki care, group programmes, and whăă stabilisation, we are working to improve outcomes for both măă and their children. We are seeking a Social Worker who can combine professionalexpertisewith compassionate, relationship-based practice to support lasting change for măă, tamariki and whăă. You will journey alongside măă,providingprofessional guidance andhelping create the conditions for safe,healthyand thriving futures for both them and their tamariki. About the Role As the Social Worker within He Taonga NgŁ Tamariki, you will work alongside Măă Navigators, whăă and community partners to support safety,wellbeingand long-term stability. Key responsibilities include: Providing assessment, planning,interventionand review with măă and whăă. Supporting whăă experiencing complex social,familyand wellbeing challenges. Developing strengths-based plans that promote recovery,resilienceand independence. Providingprofessional guidance around risk,safeguardingand child wellbeing. Advocating across health, housing,educationand social service systems. Supporting positive parenting and healthy outcomes for tamariki. Working collaboratively with addiction services, early childhood providers, healthprofessionalsand community agencies. Championing trauma-informed, culturallyresponsiveand recovery-oriented practice. Contributing to programme evaluation and continuous improvement. What You'll Bring A recognised Social Work qualification. Current registration with the Social Workers Registration Board. Experience supporting whăă experiencing vulnerability, trauma, substance-useharmor complex social needs. Strong assessment,advocacyand relationship-building skills. Confidence working within strengths-based, trauma-informedand whăă-centred frameworks. Commitment to honouring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supportingequitableoutcomes for Măă. A genuine affinity with our Christian mission and values shaped by faith, hope, and compassion. Excellent communication,documentationand organisational skills. Experience in addiction, mental health, familysupportor community-based services. Understanding of recovery-oriented approaches. Experience working within teams and across agencies. Knowledge of local service networks and community resources. The starting annual salary for this role will fall between $68,000 to $102,000. The starting hourly rate for this role will fall between$32.7105 to $49.0385.
