Aboutourrole

Reporting to theHR Manager, this newly created role will provide you with a supportive environment where you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and exposure to a wide range of HR matters.This will see youproviding day to day HR advice,assistingwith employment investigations/disciplinarymeetings,reporting, alongside supporting with recruitment related tasks,predominantlyduringour busysummerrecruitment season.

Withmuch ofourbusinessoperatingunder threeCollectiveAgreementsacross twounions, thisroleoffersvaluable exposureto unionengagement.There willalso beopportunities to support andobservecollectivebargaining activities,providing excellentdevelopmentin this area.


About you

We'reseekingago-getterwith the ability to implement ideas and suggestions effectively by pulling in support when needed. Due to the hybrid nature of therole,you'llhave a keen eye for detail with a sense of urgency,workingquickly and efficiently.

To set you up for successyou'llhold a minimumtwoyears'relevantHRexperience in a fast-pacedenvironment. This includes theadaptabilitytoflex your style to influence and achieve positive outcomes and actionswith all your stakeholders.


As an ideal candidate for our role, you willpossessthe following;


  • A love of the water and pride in Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf
  • Experiencenavigating HRIS systems (BambooHR ideal)
  • Knowledge of NZEmployment law and how thisis applicableto our company
  • Experience with writing and interpreting employment agreements and policies
  • Ideally hands onexposure in employment relations
