For more information on the Education, Health and Community ISB: EHC ISB About the role Reporting directly to the ChiefExecutive, you will play a key role in supporting our Board, governanceprocesses and organisational performance. Working closely with the ChiefExecutive, Board Chair, Board members and Manager Organisational Performanceand Governance, you will help ensure the organisation is well coordinated, wellgoverned and focused on delivering its strategic objectives. This is not a typical ExecutiveAssistant role. We are looking for an exceptional Executive Officer to workalongside our Chief Executive, Board Chair and Board, ensuring our governanceand organisational systems operate smoothly, professionally and effectively. Key responsibilities include: ManagingBoard and committee meeting cycles, agendas, Board packs, minutes,decisions and action registers. Providingtrusted executive support to the Chief Executive, including diary, travel,correspondence, briefings and stakeholder follow-up. Supportingorganisational planning, project coordination, work programme reportingand milestone tracking. Workingwith the Manager Organisational Performance and Governance to supportBoard reporting, performance reporting, risk and assurance activities. Maintaininggovernance, reporting and project management tools, including platformssuch as Microsoft Planner, Smartsheet, Project for the Web or similartools. Supportingcontinuous improvement across governance, reporting, informationmanagement and organisational processes. Whatyou’ll bring We arelooking for someone who combines strong governance and organisational skillswith initiative, judgement and the confidence to work alongside senior leaders. Experiencesupporting a Board, Board Chair, Executive Leadership Team or governancefunction. Strongorganisational, planning and prioritisation capability. Excellentwritten communication, minute-taking and document preparation skills. Abilityto manage multiple priorities, competing deadlines and confidentialmatters. Strongstakeholder relationship skills and high levels of professionalism,discretion and integrity. Experiencesupporting reporting, governance, risk or compliance processes. AdvancedMicrosoft 365 skills, including Teams and SharePoint. Strongproject planning and coordination capability, including experience withtools such as Microsoft Planner, Smartsheet, Project for the Web orsimilar platforms. Experiencewithin the public sector, Crown entities, education, health, community ornot-for-profit sectors. Governance,business administration or project management qualifications. Experiencesupporting organisational projects, governance work programmes or PMOfunctions. Competentand responsible use of AI tools to improve productivity, drafting,analysis, meeting preparation and workflow management. Wellington-basedor able to travel regularly to Wellington. Workdirectly with a Chief Executive, Board Chair and Board. Playa key role in governance, organisational performance and strategicdecision-making.
