This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise with operational leadership, helping drive performance, safety, and exceptional customer service across our Auckland HVAC division. About the Role Reporting to the HVAC and Plumbing Manager, you will provide day-to-day leadership and technical support to our Auckland HVAC team. You will act as the key escalation point for technical issues, oversee quality and safety standards, support planned maintenance delivery, and help ensure operational targets are achieved. This is a hands-on supervisory role that combines field-based technical work with team coordination, customer engagement, and operational oversight. What You'll Be Doing Leading and supporting the Auckland HVAC team in daily operations Acting as the primary escalation point for technical issues and customer requirements Managing upgrades, minor works, and maintenance-related projects Supporting quotation and pricing processes alongside estimating teams Ensuring all additional works are appropriately approved before commencement Promoting and maintaining strong Health, Safety, Sustainability, Environment, Quality and Risk (HSSE Q&R) standards Conducting site inspections, quality audits, and work-in-progress checks Monitoring and driving planned preventative maintenance (PPM) completion Supporting technicians with technical guidance and workflow prioritisation Maintaining accurate job documentation and invoice information Building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders What We're Looking For NZ-qualified or highly experienced HVAC-R technician Minimum 5 years' HVAC industry experience IQP certification Strong technical fault-finding and diagnostic skills Previous supervisory, leadership, or mentoring experience is highly desirable Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong organisational and planning abilities Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications and tablet-based systems Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment Why Join Cushman & Wakefield?
