Registered Psychologist

Central Auckland Specialist School Auckland Central Auckland specialist school providing education for neurodiverse students with additional learning needs aged 5 to 21. We seek an experienced NZ registered Psychologist to provide effective, efficient and equitable psychological services to support students across the school, and to contribute to the school-wide system of Positive Behaviour Support. Ideally you will have experience of working with neurodiverse children and young people with intellectual disabilities, including those with Autism and ADHD. You will excel at building quality relationships with students and staff and the ability to work collaboratively across the school. As a psychologist you will: applying a strengths-based approach identify patterns or contributing factors that may be influencing learning, wellbeing and behaviour working collaboratively to support progress with learner goals provide professional support and guidance to teachers and staff including collaboration, development and implementation of intervention plans assess, analyse, hypothesise, plan, support and monitor the implementation of intervention plans for referred students work alongside staff in the class with students to observe, test, model and monitor strategies and programmes.
