Job Description Our role This is a pivotal leadership role, which involves coaching and inspiring a team of Community Facilitators who work alongside our disabled partners to provide individualised, innovative, and person-centered support. You will shape the team culture, ensure service quality, drive performance, and uphold the principles of Enabling Good Lives. Leadership & Team Development : Guide a team fostering growth, accountability, and collaboration. Promote open communication, celebrate team successes, and build confidence across your team by leading with integrity and compassion. Team Management & Support : Oversee the day-to-day operations of your team, ensuring each member understands their role and feels supported to thrive. You’ll recruit new talent, provide structured onboarding, and ensure all team members receive regular performance feedback. You will also conduct individual and team coaching sessions to build capability, drive professional growth, and prepare team members for future opportunities. Ensure Service Quality: Monitor the wellbeing of partners, maintain compliance with standards and regulations, and address any service delivery concerns. Strategic and Operational Planning : Work alongside our Rostering team to develop schedules, rosters, and resource plans to ensure consistent and timely support. You'll be hands-on in managing team and house budgets, ensuring responsible financial stewardship. Risk & Safety Management : Promote health, wellbeing, and safety for both team members and partners. After-Hours Leadership : Participate in an on-call roster to provide responsive leadership support, ensure risk is managed appropriately, and maintain continuity of care across all hours. Build Relationships : Build strong, respectful relationships with disabled partners, their whānau/families, internal teams, and external stakeholders. Proven leadership or management experience, ideally within the health, disability, or social services sector. Strong coaching, team-building, and communication skills. A commitment to person-led support and inclusion. Understanding of disability rights, legislation, and best practices. A degree or advanced certification in Social Work, Disability Studies, or a related field (desirable) Experience in behaviour support, mental health, or specialist disability services. Personal or lived experience with disability The ability to build genuine relationships, inspire meaningful outcomes and walk side by side with our disabled partners will be key to your success in this role.
