Job Description
Physiotherapist (Rehabilitation), Nelson Hospital, Fixedterm Full-time Working across a mix ofinpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, you'll support patientsto maximise their independence, improve function, and achieve theirrehabilitation goals. T his is a variedrole which offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patientpopulation, including neurological, orthopaedic, medical, and olderpersons' rehabilitation. You'll be part of a supportive multidisciplinaryteam committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. About the Role As a Physiotherapist you will: Assess, plan and deliverevidence-based physiotherapy interventions; Provide rehabilitationservices across both inpatient and to a lesser extent outpatient clinic; Work collaboratively witha multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, SpeechLanguage Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses and Medical Staff; Support patients and theirwhānau through their recovery and rehabilitation journey; Contribute to servicedevelopment and continuous quality improvement initiatives. This is a fixed term parental leave cover for up to 12months, working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday. Hours willbe between 6.00AM to 8.00PM. For more information on living and working in Nelson click here About you As a Physiotherapist, you will have: Registration with thePhysiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current APC; Previous physiotherapyexperience, ideally within rehabilitation services; Strong clinical reasoningand assessment skills; Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills; A commitment to providingpatient-centred care and achieving positive outcomes; The ability to work bothindependently and collaboratively within a team.
