About the Role We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to work in our Waitematā Early Discharge and Rehabilitation Service (EDARS). EDARS focuses on providing a comprehensive and coordinated home-based rehabilitation service for people in the Waitematā community. The service delivers individually prescribed rehabilitation to patients, based on their specific needs and goals, via either intensive early supported discharge or less intensive community-based rehabilitation to adults of all ages in Waitematā. About the Team/Service/Location This part time (0.7 FTE) role is based at the North Shore Community Allied Health offices in Takapuna. You will need to be available to work on Tuesdays to attend our weekly IDT meeting. You will be working as part of an established inter-disciplinary team providing best practice rehabilitation through a patient centred approach to adults of all ages. EDARS provides rehabilitation for adults with acute neurological conditions/surgeries, post stroke, people with recent amputations, and reconditioning following medical-illness. Regular professional supervision from experienced clinicians Workperks About you Our ideal candidate will: Be a registered Occupational Therapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate Have 3+ years of post-graduate and experience in the community setting Have a passion for neurological rehabilitation Be committed to teamwork and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration Have an ability to be flexible and adaptable within a busy, fast-paced work environment Be eager and willing to learn Drivers license essential Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
