Newly created role, take charge and lead the operation. Small Earthworks Company operating in the Silverdale to Warkworth areas. $150K+ Company overview: This is a small, yet strong, viable business. The company's MD has been torn between this and another he runs, hence needing you to step in and take over the lead. The success of the business is repeat customers, encompassing farms, lifestyle blocks, residential properties, industrial buildings, small bridges and retaining walls. Your role: With sound experience leading small earthworks projects, you'll have accountability for the overall health, growth and sustainability of the business, with support from, and in consultation with, the MD. Maintain and develop a strong employee and contractor base. Develop existing client relationships, ensuring retention and growth. Focus on new areas of aligned business opportunities and develop relationships with 1 st tier civil construction companies, resulting in rural subcontracts. Ensure projects are completed on time, to specification, and of a high quality. Complete accurate job estimates and quotes, within agreed timeframes, and maintain regular invoicing, including retentions and variation claims, in consultation with the Office Manager. What you’ll bring: A management background in civil earthworks, across farms, lifestyle blocks, residential properties, sub divisions and rural roading. A good local knowledge of Silverdale to north Auckland. A natural leadership style resulting in the development of effective relationships. Task orientated and results focused. Skilled in quoting, invoicing, retentions and claims. An inquisitive mind, assessing new, aligned opportunities. You must be an NZ Citizen or have PR to be considered for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
