As a Driver , you will be responsible for completing daily delivery and transport tasks safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You'll ensure goods are delivered in excellent condition, maintain vehicle standards, and support the smooth operation of catering and support services across the University of Canterbury. This is a Permanent position with 40 hours guaranteed per week during education terms. Complete daily delivery runs safely and efficiently while adhering to road and company safety requirements. Load, unload, and transport goods while ensuring food quality and temperature control standards are maintained. Conduct vehicle inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and report any maintenance requirements. Verify delivery documentation, check orders, and ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time. Work collaboratively with customers and colleagues while following company policies, food safety, and health & safety procedures. Current and valid driver's licence with demonstrated experience in a similar driving role. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers and team members. Ability to work independently while managing competing priorities and delivery schedules. Physically fit, reliable, and comfortable with manual handling and loading duties. A positive, flexible, and customer-focused attitude with basic computer literacy skills.
