Lead complex initiatives that help shape Toitū's future. Are you a seasoned Project Manager with experience engaging in the Māori economy, primary industries and/or sustainability initiatives? At Toitū, we're helping organisations create positive environmental impact, and we're looking for an experienced Project Manager to provide the structure, leadership and momentum needed to deliver some of our most important strategic initiatives. This role sits at the centre of a complex programme environment, bringing together internal teams, external partners and vendors to turn strategy into action. You'll apply proven project management methodologies to plan and deliver critical strategic projects, managing risks, dependencies, budgets and stakeholder expectations to ensure successful outcomes. Working closely with senior leaders within and outside Toitū, you will be facilitating project rituals, assigning tasks, managing backlogs, delivering governance reporting, and keeping everyone aligned and informed. This is a hands-on role where your ability to communicate, influence, and adapt will be key to success. This is a fixed term position for one year and can be based out of Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. What We're Looking For We're seeking an experienced project professional who combines strong delivery capability with sound commercial judgement, exceptional relationship management skills, and the ability to drive outcomes in complex environments. You'll bring: 5+ years' experience managing strategic projects in complex environments. Proven success delivering projects from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation. Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills, including experience working with executive and senior leadership teams. Demonstrated experience managing vendors and contractual relationships to achieve agreed outcomes. Strong financial management capability, including project budgeting, resource planning and forecasting. Experience identifying and managing project risks, issues and dependencies across multiple workstreams. The ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities and maintain focus on strategic objectives. Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving skills. A tertiary qualification in Project Management, Business, or a related discipline is advantageous. What Will Make You Stand Out Experience working within the Māori economy, primary industries and/or sustainability sectors. Experience establishing or operating Project Management Office (PMO) practices, governance frameworks and reporting processes. Experience delivering complex initiatives involving multiple organisations, stakeholders and vendors. Strong change management capability and experience supporting organisational transformation. A collaborative leadership style that brings people together and drives accountability. A passion for helping organisations create positive environmental and social impact. At Toitū, you'll work alongside leading sustainability experts, auditors, and business professionals who are helping organisations tackle some of New Zealand's most important environmental challenges. Your work will help ensure some of Toitū's most significant strategic initiatives are delivered successfully, enabling the organisation to grow its impact and continue supporting businesses on their sustainability journeys.
