Dyer Street School is seeking an exceptional deputy principal to join our dedicated senior leadership team and vibrant school whānau. This position will commence in January 2027. Dyer Street School is located in Lower Hutt and currently has a roll of 212 students. We take pride in being a welcoming, inclusive, and culturally diverse primary school. Upholds a strong commitment to bicultural practice by integrating te reo and tikanga Māori to ensure equity for Māori and Pacifica learners. Empowers kaiako by prioritising staff wellbeing, mentoring teachers, and cultivating a culture of continuous growth. Is highly organised and adaptable, with a proven ability to translate strategic vision into smooth daily operations. Grounded in neurodiversity, trauma-informed, and restorative practices, with SENCo experience preferred. This position has components of classroom release and SENCo responsibilities. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work alongside the principal to co-construct how the role will work once appointed.
