Mŋ te tūŋrang | About the Role In this role you will be supporting one man, Seth who is in his 40's and lives near our Barrington campus. Seth has a wide variety of interests including going on holidays, watching sports, knitting, raising money for Orana Park, socializing and spending time with his whanau. Seth has higher medical needs and requires specific care to keep him healthy and well. We need a caring Support Worker, who can build strong relationships with the people we support, is patient and will play an important part of the Robson team. You will be calm, resilient, empathetic and able to work alongsidethe people we support whilst being able to read situations, problem solve and apply boundaries or offer space. You will have the confidence to provide personal cares, cooking, medication administration, and complete daily household tasks. You will be passionate about supporting people with an intellectual disability and helping them live a full life. If you are looking for a new challenge this could be the opportunity for you. This position’s salary scale is set by pay equity and dependant on qualification level, pays between $23.95 and $30 per hour.
