Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 12/10/2026, End Date: 13/12/2026 (Fluctuating student numbers) Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts If you are a teacher with a heart for learners with diverse needs and would like the experience of supporting individual students and team team, Arahunga Outreach Service could be the perfect fit for you! As a result of increasing demand for our service, we are seeking passionate and dedicated teachers to join our team. We currently have several fixed-term opportunities available in the following areas: Horowhenua: Levin and Otaki-start date negotiable This role also involves working collaboratively with the learners' teachers and support staff and adapting the classroom programmes to promote inclusion alongside their peers. Our teachers receive mentoring and coaching to support their professional growth, access to targeted professional development, and are part of a supportive group of practitioners who value teamwork and shared expertise. You will need: to be a qualified teacher with a current New Zealand practising certificate the ability to adapt the New Zealand Curriculum (particularly within Level One and below) experience in New Zealand mainstream primary and/or secondary settings (preferred) a positive, strength-based attitude the ability to work collaboratively the ability to build positive, trusting relationships quickly a good sense of humour.
