About the Role As a Registered Health Clinician within Te Roopu Kimiora, Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Addiction Service (CAMHS), you will provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, care coordination, and therapeutic interventions for tamariki and rangatahi experiencing moderate to severe mental health and addiction challenges. Working alongside whānau, schools, community agencies and other health professionals, you will support young people to achieve improved wellbeing and positive outcomes through culturally safe, evidence-based practice. Our team at Te Roopu Kimiora provides specialist child and adolescent mental health and addiction services for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau across the Mid North of Te Tai Tokerau. We are a multidisciplinary service committed to delivering person-centred, culturally responsive care and working closely with whānau, iwi, schools, primary care providers and community organisations to support positive wellbeing outcomes. For more information on living and working in Northland click here About you As a Registered Health Clinician, you will bring a passion for working with children, young people and whānau, along with the clinical expertise to deliver high-quality mental health and addiction care. Registered health professional such as Nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology) with a current practising certificate A minimum of 2 years experience working within a mental health, addiction, or child and youth service setting Experience undertaking comprehensive mental health assessments, risk assessment, care planning and therapeutic interventions with children and young people Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and the ability to engage effectively with whānau Māori in a culturally safe manner Excellent communication, relationship-building and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across health, education and community agencies Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
