Job Description
Spectrum Foundation is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the core finance functions across Spectrum Group. This is a key leadership role, supporting strong financial control, high-quality reporting, effective shared services delivery and robust day-to-day financial management. The Job I Te mahi Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the finance team and provide reliable, practical support by translating financial information into clear insights, advice and recommendations. You will play an important role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting, strong internal controls, continuous improvement and sound financial stewardship across the Group. Leading, managing and developing the finance team, including setting clear priorities, monitoring performance, supporting wellbeing and building team capability. Managing month-end processes, reconciliations, financial systems and daily transaction processes to support timely and accurate financial reporting. Preparing clear financial commentary, analysis, briefing papers and practical advice to support CFO review and management decision-making. Maintaining strong financial controls, documented processes and audit-ready working papers across finance, reporting and compliance activities. Coordinating annual financial reporting and the annual audit process across Spectrum Group entities. Supporting payroll controls and continuity by working closely with the Payroll Manager, People and Culture team and CFO. Forecasting and managing cash flows, overseeing accounts receivable, monitoring debtor performance and supporting treasury management activities. Coordinating the annual budgeting process and maintaining rolling forecasts, scenario analysis and recommendations to support active financial management. Contributing to continuous improvement, finance systems, risk management, insurance renewal, fixed asset processes and other projects as required. About you I Mo koe You MUST be CA qualified and experienced or equivalent. Proven experience preparing monthly accounts, management reporting, financial commentary and analysis. Experience managing or supervising finance staff, including supporting performance, development, priorities and team wellbeing. Strong financial and management accounting skills, with advanced financial modelling capability. Experience working in a high quality shared services environment. Sound knowledge of accounting standards and practice, including existing and emerging requirements relevant to not-for-profit entities. Strong planning, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder relationship skills. Confidence using Microsoft tools, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Copilot, or other role-specific finance systems. You will bring professional judgement, integrity and a service-focused approach, with the ability to build trust, improve processes and work constructively with managers, teams, auditors and other stakeholders.
