Job Description
As Team Leader Digital Asset Management & Service Delivery, you'll lead the team responsible for IT asset management, licensing, contracts, and service delivery, driving continuous improvement and ensuring the Council's digital services and technology investments deliver value for our community. About the role | Ko te mahi nei You'll have the opportunity to Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for Digital Asset Management, Licensing, Service Delivery, Digital Finance, Contracts, and Configuration Management. Drive continuous improvement and establish best-practice ITIL-aligned processes across asset management, licensing, and service delivery functions. Shape the future of Digital Services by influencing strategy, governance, service performance, and asset lifecycle management. Build strong relationships across Christchurch City Council and with external partners to deliver better business outcomes and service excellence. Contribute to major digital initiatives and projects by ensuring robust asset management, compliance, and governance practices are in place. Your day-to-day work will include: Leading asset planning and maintaining the Digital Asset Management Plan in alignment with Council strategies and regulatory requirements. Monitoring and managing operational budgets for IT assets and licensing, ensuring effective financial stewardship and cost optimisation. Providing reporting and insights on KPIs, service levels, asset performance, and financial outcomes to support informed decision-making. Identifying and managing risks, maintaining asset compliance, and supporting the delivery of reliable, customer-focused digital services. To be successful in this role, you'll bring: A bachelor's-level qualification in Computer Science, Information Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in IT Asset and Configuration Management. At least 7 years' experience across Finance, Asset, Contracts and Configuration Management within an IT environment. At least 5 years' experience in a leadership role within a large organisation. Experience in IT Asset and Configuration Management. Extensive experience configuring Service Management tools, including workflows, software development and software development methodologies. Hours of work - Monday to Friday Position - Full-time, permanent Location - This position is primarily based at Te Hononga Civic Office, 53 Hereford Street Salary - The salary band for this position goes from $126,230 p.a. to $140,255 per annum based on a 40 hour week. Starting salaries will be based on knowledge, skills and experience the successful candidate brings to the role, and relativities both, within the immediate team and in the broader organisation for the same or similar roles.
