About the Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team in Christchurch on a fixed-term (approximately 15 months) contract covering parental leave - Starting in October 2026 - (some flexibility for the right person). Reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance and Reporting, this role will be responsible for ensuring the payroll function is delivered accurately, efficiently and on time throughout the fixed-term period. About You You will have a strong background end-to-end payroll processing, with a sound understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation. Experience using PayGlobal would be advantageous, although full training can be provided during the handover period. You will be confident providing payroll advice, supporting the debtors team and building positive working relationships across the Isaac Group. Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring all wages and salaries are prepared and paid accurately and on time. Ensure payroll processes comply with New Zealand employment and payroll legislation. Review payroll data, identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly and accurately. Provide expert advice and support on payroll matters to employees, managers and stakeholders throughout the Isaac Group. Maintain accurate payroll records and complete required reporting and reconciliations. Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive payroll and employee information. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a senior payroll position would be a definite advantage. At least three years’ experience in end-to- end payroll processing and New Zealand payroll legislation. Working knowledge of PayGlobal would be advantageous; full training can be provided during the handover period. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively while meeting payroll deadlines. Demonstrated ability to provide reliable payroll advice and build effective working relationships. Ability to work independently and contribute positively as part of a team.
