About the role We are seeking a motivated and inspiring head of subject – Te Reo Māori teacher to join our dynamic languages faculty. This position requires a candidate with a passion for Te Reo and Te Ao Māori and the ability to teach from Years 7–13. Detailed knowledge and experience with the New Zealand languages curriculum (NCEA and Scholarship) is essential. To be successful in this role, you need to: Be a fluent speaker of Te Reo Māori Have experience in teaching Te Reo Māori to students in Years 7–13 Have a strong understanding of NCEA requirements and ensure curriculum delivery aligns with NCEA standards Stay updated with current educational practices in modern language education Inspire and lead Te Reo teaching in the College Collaborate with colleagues to provide the best learning opportunities for students Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Have New Zealand working rights Hold a current New Zealand Teaching Registration and Practising Certificate.
