Employed by High Performance Sport New Zealand | Embedded with Rowing New Zealand Full Time Fixed term to 31 December 2028 About the role High Performance Sport New Zealand is seeking a Performance Intelligence Analyst to work directly with Rowing New Zealand and help turn complex performance information into clear, trusted and practical insight. This is an HPSNZ-employed role, operationally embedded within Rowing New Zealand. You will be part of the HPSNZ Athlete Management System team and will work day-to-day with Rowing New Zealand coaches, programme leaders and athlete performance support staff to support evidence-informed performance decisions. The role will suit someone who enjoys working with technical tools and complex information, but who is equally motivated by collaboration, applied problem solving and helping people make better decisions in high-performance environments. Rowing New Zealand has a strong performance history and is building towards the LA 2028 Olympic cycle. This role will help ensure the programme is not just data-rich, but insight-led. Please refer to the job description document for further role specifics What you will bring We are looking for someone with strong technical capability who can also build trust, communicate clearly and contribute positively within a group setting. You do not need to have worked in rowing before, but you will need curiosity, initiative and a genuine interest in using data to support high-performance outcomes. Strong analytical skills and experience working with complex data sets and relevant analytics tools. Ability to turn data from multiple sources into clear reports, dashboards and practical insight. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences. A collaborative style and confidence working with coaches, practitioners, athletes and programme leaders. High attention to detail and a commitment to ethical, reliable and trusted use of data.
